Good news – the weekend weather forecast is looking pretty decent for Cork

You’d almost forget it’s June.
But it looks like we’re finally getting a blast of summer weather this weekend, even though it’ll barely stick around long enough to clean the barbecue.
After a damp and dreary start to Friday, conditions are expected to improve throughout the day with sunny spells developing and temperatures reaching up to 19°C.
The real winner, though, is Saturday. Forecasters are predicting a bright, dry day with plenty of sunshine breaking through and temperatures climbing to a very pleasant 22°C or even 23°C in parts of the county.
Rather dull and damp this morning with patchy outbreaks of light rain, drizzle & mist🌧️.
Throughout the afternoon showers will develop over Ulster☔️ while elsewhere will be mostly dry with sunny spells🌤️.

Sunday is looking pretty good too, with any early cloud giving way to hazy sunshine and temperatures once again reaching the high teens and low twenties.
Monday and Tuesday look set to bring patchy downpours and drizzle, with persistent rain expected on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
“Current indications signal a continuation of unsettled weather for the remainder of the week due to an active Atlantic regime, which will see spells of rain and showers moving over the country,” said a Met Éireann forecaster.
