Rave for Palestine brings music and meaning to Cyprus Avenue this weekend

Heading ‘out out’ this weekend?
If you’re looking for plans, there’s a special night at Cyprus Avenue on Saturday, April 11th — and it’s more than just a party.
Friends Luke Pottinger and Shane Minehane are hosting a Rave for Palestine, promising a great night of music with a meaningful cause behind it.
In August 2025, the pair travelled through the West Bank, visiting Jericho, Bethlehem and Jerusalem during a time of ongoing conflict.
“We were blown away by the kindness and hospitality of the Palestinian people,” they said.
While global attention remains fixed on Gaza, they were struck by how often the realities of life in the West Bank go overlooked. During their trip, they visited the Lajee Centre in Bethlehem — an organisation supporting more than 1,800 displaced refugees in the Aida Camp through medical aid, education, sport, and food initiatives.

“The Aida Refugee Camp faces constant raids by the IOF, electricity being cut off in the winter, water being cut off in the summer and tear gas being thrown into the children’s playground to only touch the surface.”
The lads have set a fundraising goal of €10,000 with all proceeds from this event going directly to the Lajee Centre, thanks to Cyprus Avenue providing the venue for free, and all the DJs on the night providing the entertainment without charge.
Doors at Cyprus Avenue open at 11pm on Saturday, April 11th and tickets are €15 here.
If you are unable to attend the event but would still like to donate to the Lajee Centre you can do that here.
