Bring the kids and the dog for a pitch-in clean-up event in the Lee Fields

By Yay Cork May 18, 2026March 6, 2026

Fancy a bit of do-gooding with a side of sunshine?

If you feel like giving back and getting some fresh air while doing it, you can pitch in and join the On River and On Land Clean Up for Cork Harbour Festival 2026.

Organised by Clean Coasts, the event takes place on Sunday, June 7th from 11am to 1pm so it’s ideal timing if you’re planning on gathering a group of friends or bringing the kids.

“Join us to clean up both the water and the land during Cork Harbour Festival!” the organisers announced.

“Whether you prefer cleaning up on water or on land, there is a spot for everyone to pitch in and make a difference. Bring your friends, family, or even your furry companions – the more, the merrier!”

“Don’t miss this chance to give back to the community and the environment while enjoying the fresh air and scenic views. Let’s work together to protect our waters and lands for future generations.”

Pickers, gloves, hi-vis vests and bags will provided but for the on-water clean up you must be have your own canoe, kayak or paddle board and be proficient in using it.

\The group will meet in the Lee Fields Carpark on Carrigrohane Road, Cork City at 11am. Sign up now to let them know you’ll be there.
