Pints and Ponytails is a crash course in hair styling for dads with daughters

Dads of Cork, it’s time to level up your hair game.
A clever new event landing in the city later this month is set to teach fathers the basics of styling their daughters’ hair — from neat ponytails to simple braids you can actually manage before the school run.
Taking place on Sunday, March 22nd from 2:30–3:30pm in the Stamp Room at Seventy Seven on the Grand Parade in Cork City, the relaxed, hands-on session is designed to be practical, pressure-free, and genuinely useful. No elaborate Pinterest styles required — just everyday techniques that will save time (and tantrums) in the morning.
For €25, dads will get a step-by-step tutorial covering easy ponytails, quick braids, and go-to styling tricks. All equipment is provided, so there’s no need to bring brushes or brave volunteers. Instead, attendees can focus on learning the basics in a laid-back setting — without the smallies watching.

The ticket also includes a free beverage on arrival, nibbles, and a QR code linking to take-home video tutorials so you can practise again later. And if that wasn’t incentive enough, there’s the added bonus of sticking around afterwards to catch Man City vs Arsenal on the big screen.
Organisers say spaces are limited, so any dads keen to swap the “I’ll wait for your mum” routine for actual hair skills will want to book sooner rather than later. Get a ticket here.
