A tasty new takeaway and pizzeria is about to open in Kinsale

By Yay Cork February 17, 2026

Here’s another new spot to try this spring.

Two Brothers, a brand new takeaway and sit-in spot, is preparing to open on Lower O’Connell Street in Kinsale.

Owner and head chef Szilard Ravasz is putting the finishing touches to a full interior revamp ahead of the March 4th opening of his newest venture in the seaside town.

A sneak peek at the menu reveals a tasty selections of heft sharing platters stacked with BBQ ribs or peri-peri chicken, chips and onion rings, meaty calzones, hand-stretched pizzas and baked pasta dishes.

With nearly two decades of kitchen experience behind him — and a proven track record in building successful restaurant brands — Szilard says this launch marks both a continuation and a new beginning.

“I started making pizzas back in 2007 in a small takeaway shop in the UK, opening my first tex-mex restaurant from scratch in 2011.” Szilard told Yay Cork.

“Then I worked around Edinburgh, York, and Harrogate before opening Two Brothers Grill and Pizzeria in 2018 with my brother Nandor Ravasz. That was a huge success but we parted ways in 2024.

“He opened his own takeaway in the UK with the same brand and formula that we created and I came to live in here in Kinsale, working with Martin Shanahan at Fishyfishy before finding a nice spot for my own venture and here we are.”

Two Brothers Kinsale will open from March 4th, serving teatime and dinner six days a week (closed Tuesdays) from 4.30pm to 9.30pm.
