Hey parents, Mahon Point’s kids Carnival Day is the mid-term plan you need

Mid-Term 2026 has arrived.
Schools are closed. Energy levels are high. Snack consumption is higher. And parents across the county have begun Googling “activities that are not my living room.”
Enter: Mid Term Fun at Mahon Point Shopping Centre — the unsung hero of the February break.
On Friday, February 20th from 1pm–4pm, the centre is hosting a day of carnival-themed fun. Near lots of good coffee.
The line-up for the day is as follows:
- Carnival Games (small humans competing fiercely)
- Limbo Challenge (watch your child bend in ways that defy orthopaedics)
- Candy Floss — while stocks last, which parents know is code for “get there early”
- Balloon Modeller (soon to be followed by the sound of balloons popping in your car later)
Children will be thrilled. They will laugh. They will run. They will ask for candy floss at 1:03pm. Meanwhile, parents can take comfort in three beautiful words: free parking available.

And let’s not overlook the true headline here — over 60 stores, great food options, and most importantly, the very real possibility of sitting down with a large coffee you didn’t have to make yourself.
