Join a relaxed day of post-Christmas board games and chats at this Cork farm

By Yay Cork December 19, 2025December 18, 2025

The holidays are coming.

And if you’ve ever found yourself wondering what day it is during that delightfully strange lull between Christmas and New Year’s, here’s something to circle on the calendar: the No Pressure Book Club is back at Camus Farm Field Kitchen in Ardfield, Clonakilty — and they’re kicking off 2026 with a cosy, playful twist.

This December, the much-loved club is swapping silent reading for laughter, conversation and a few friendly games with their Tabletop Social Edition. Taking place on December 28th from 2pm to 6pm, the event promises a warm, welcoming way to get out of the house and ease into the final days of the year.

Guests can expect board games, card games, chats by the stove and plenty of relaxed, festive vibes. It’s designed to be low-pressure and open to everyone — regular book club members, curious newcomers, friends, family, or those happy to arrive solo and meet new faces.

Attendance is free, with registration via Eventbrite, and while there will be games provided, guests are welcome to bring along their own favourites.

The event is suitable for ages 13 and up, making it a great option for teens and adults alike during the school holidays.

So if you’re looking for something gentle, social and fun to break up the Christmas leftovers and couch time, this could be just the thing.
