This Cork restaurant is launching new sushi-rolling workshops for kids and adults

Resolving to cut down on screen time in 2026?
A city restaurant is launching a new series of kids sushi workshops in January, inviting children to get to grips with sushi rice, roll hosomaki, make onigiri and take home what they create.
As of late 2025, Dashi Deli is undergoing a transformation. The Cook Street eatery announced they would be closed for October and November 2025 for a short break to “rest, refresh, and get ready for an exciting new chapter”. They reopen this month with a new approach, focusing on intimate supper clubs and cookery workshops, including sushi and Asian cuisine classes.
“At Dashi, we’re very excited to begin a new chapter.” the team announced on social media.
“Our cookery workshops for children and adults will start in January, and we can’t wait to welcome you into the kitchen.

“These workshops are about sharing knowledge, sharing joy, and creating beautiful moments together around food in a relaxed, welcoming space where everyone feels at home.”
The full workshop schedule will be released around December 27th, with limited places available.
In the meantime you can book a spot on the first Kids Workshop on Sunday, January 11th, 2026 (12pm to 2pm on Cook Street, Cork City) €38.52 per child accompanied by an adult over here.
