You can drop off a gift for the children’s Toy Drive at this Cork interiors shop
It’s the season of giving, after all.
Rugs.ie, the family-run Irish interiors store based in Douglas, has launched a Christmas Toy Drive in support of Good Shepherd Cork, calling on the local community to donate new toys and gifts to families in need.
Running until December 20th, customers and members of the public are invited to drop new toys to the Rugs.ie showroom in Douglas or their warehouse in Wilton. All donations will be delivered directly to Good Shepherd Cork, who provide vital support services to women, children and families experiencing homelessness or vulnerability across Cork.
“Christmas can be an incredibly difficult time for many families across Cork.” said Phoebe Holland, Managing Director of Rugs.ie.
“Having worked with the Good Shepherd Cork for a number of years, supporting their annual Toy Drive felt like the perfect fit. Every toy donated, big or small, will genuinely brighten a child’s Christmas.”

A spokesperson for Good Shepherd Cork said the families and children they support are often facing incredibly challenging circumstances, and something as simple as receiving a gift at Christmas can have a huge impact: “It helps create a sense of normality and joy at a time when many may be feeling anxious or uncertain.” they added.
What can I donate?
The Rugs.ie Toy Drive is open to everyone. Suggested donations include toys, books, puzzles, crafts, board games or any small children’s gifts. Vouchers are especially appreciated as they give parents the independence to purchase the items their families need most this Christmas.
The Donation Drop-Off locations are:
- Rugs.ie Warehouse, Unit 17 Doughcloyne Court Industrial Estate, Sarsfield Road, Wilton, Cork, T12 D564
- Rugs.ie Showroom, Unit 106, St Patrick’s Woollen Mills, Douglas, Cork, T12 XN73
