Grab a coffee and enjoy A Carnival of Words For Palestine at UCC

Fancy a midweek evening out?
UCC Library is hosting A Carnival of Words for Palestine next week, a special 90-minute fundraiser packed with poetry, stories, music, and performances from local artists — all in support of Gaza go Bragh.
The event is curated by writer and performer Nell Korben, the familiar face behind UCC Library’s monthly literary night Let Me Tell You Something.
This time, she’s bringing together a lively mix of voices in The Creative Zone for an evening that promises good vibes, good company, and a genuinely good cause.

Expect a warm, welcoming atmosphere — quite literally, because there’ll be free tea, coffee, and hot chocolate on offer as you settle in.
If you’re not familiar with Gaza go Bragh, it’s a grassroots Irish humanitarian initiative taking its name from the phrase “go bragh,” meaning “forever.” The group supports displaced families in Gaza by working directly with local Palestinian teams to deliver essentials like food, water, tents, hygiene kits, medical supplies, and cash assistance. They also help with medical and displacement-related evacuations — all with a focus on speed, transparency, and getting aid exactly where it’s needed.
So if you’re up for a cosy, creative evening that also makes a real-world impact, this one’s well worth popping into your calendar.
It all happens in The Creative Zone, UCC Library on Wednesday, December 10th. Doors open at 6:45pm and it’s over 18s only.
Tickets are €12 via Eventbrite and every cent goes to Gaza go Bragh.
