All the best stuffed Christmas sandwiches to eat in Cork in December

By Yay Cork December 2, 2025December 1, 2025

It’s that magical time of year again…

… when Cork goes absolutely feral for festive sambos and we all pretend it’s “just a little treat” as we devour a Christmas dinner worth of calories on our lunch break.

From gravy-soaked monsters to brie-stuffed beauties, the city’s delis have entered their annual race to see who can cram the most Christmas between two slices of bread.

Buckle up, loosen the belt – here are the best Christmas sandwiches Cork has to offer for 2025:

Tongue Tied

Where: The Black Market, Monahan Road, Cork City

Important addition here: spiced beef. Alongside the turkey, Dubliner cheese, brown butter apricot stuffing, hot honey carrot and cranberry mayo and chimichurri slaw, that old Cork favourite spiced beef is among the Christmas sandwich layers at Tongue Tied.

Their ‘Miracle on Monahan Road’ is served with a side of gravy, natch.
