This Cork bookshop is donating Saturday’s gross profits to medical aid in Gaza

Got a few books on your must-read list?
This Saturday is the ideal time to buy them; Cork’s oldest independent, family-run bookshop Vibes & Scribes will be donating all gross profits on Saturday, September 27th to Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in Gaza.
The fundraiser, Profits for Palestine, will run at Vibes & Scribes on Bridge Street and Lavitt’s Quay.
“Like many people I have felt powerless seeing the unimaginable suffering of the Palestinian people in the face of genocide.” Vibes & Scribes Managing Director Joan Lucey told Yay Cork.

“On Saturday the 27th of September, our business will be donating all gross profits from the craft shop on 3 Bridge Street and the two bookshops at 21 Lavitt’s Quay to Doctors Without Borders (MSF) so they can continue providing critical medical care in Gaza.”
Collection boxes will also be open in each store so you can donate to the cause while you browse.
“It’s a small way we can help, but small actions add up. Every purchase on the 27th can help make a difference, and we’d love to see other businesses join in this effort and hold their own Profits for Palestine.” Lucey added.
