Crisp, sunny, and dry — Cork is about to get its first real feel of autumn this week

It’s a crisp, bright start across Cork today.
Early mist and fog patches are lifting to reveal plenty of sunshine and the day will stay mostly dry, though cloud will creep in as the afternoon wears on.
Temperatures are on the cooler side — just 12 to 14 degrees — so it’s definitely a “grab your cosy jumper” kind of day. Light northerly breezes will keep a fresh autumn feel in the air.
Tonight looks calm and chilly, with clear skies and the chance of mist or fog rolling back in. Rural spots could dip close to freezing, bringing a touch of grass frost — very seasonal if you’re out for an early morning walk.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) stays dry with a mix of sunshine and cloud, and slightly milder at 12 to 15 degrees.
High pressure will keep things settled through midweek, with hazy sunshine and only a hint of patchy drizzle near the coasts. But by the weekend, the Atlantic could send some wet and windy weather our way — so best enjoy these crisp, golden autumn days while they last.
