Homesick? This Dublin café stocks all your Cork favourites (even Tanora)

Are you a Cork person trapped in Dublin?
According to science, Cork people are uniquely more susceptible to acute homesickness while we’re away, such is the beauty and the loveliness of our homeland, the Rebel County.
Happily, now you can at least find some relief during your time in the big smoke, and it’s all thanks to a little café and grocers that calls itself the Cork Embassy.
Over in Stoneybatter, No 8 Prussia Street, to be exact, Bismarck Store, Deli and Parlour is a cosy coffee spot and community space where you can treat yourself to a good brew, order a great sandwich and leave with a little taste of home.
Opened last year by Macroom’s Mark Cronin, who has been living in Dublin for over a decade, Bismarck is a little tribute to Mark’s foodie roots.

From the iconic tangerine fizz of a bottle of Tanora on a hot day to a smooth SOMA coffee on a drizzly morning Bismarck stocks a selection of delicious Cork-made goodies.
They also have kimchi from My Goodness, the award-winning all-natural Brazen Chilli, the Black Market’s Tongue Tied Hot Sauce, Cork Chilli Company and Toons Bridge Dairy.
“I’ve known the lads in Toonsbridge forever so their stuff was a no brainier and Paul and Alex in Soma are amazing with coffee so was great to have them on board and then all the other suppliers came from the English Market and it’s easy to stock them as I know the quality is great!” Mark told us.
“The lads from Tongue Tied even did a pop up sandwich day here back in February …there’s plenty of Cork people living in Stoneybatter so I think they love it and even the Dubs know the quality of the produce is the best.” he added.
Bismarck will be *the spot* for a pre-match coffee this Sunday if you’re in town for the clash between Cork and Tipperary in Croke Park.
In the meantime, word has it there’s a Beamish and Macroom Flour loaf just out of the oven.
