This lovely drop-in, all-ages guitar class happens weekly in a Cork park

It’s a dreamy way to spend an evening.
A local guitar tutor is hosting summer lessons for guitar players of all ages and abilities outdoors every Wednesday in Fitzgerald’s Park.
The drop-in class, Guitar in the Park, is hosted by Alastair Douglas, a singer, songwriter and guitarist with 30 years of guitar-teaching experience, at 7pm on Wednesday, July 9th, July 16th, July 23rd, and July 30th and throughout August.
“With an emphasis on enjoyment and community, Guitar in the Park, offers a chance to experience the joy of music in a beautiful outdoor setting.” Alastair explains.

“We will explore some warm-up exercises and guitar techniques before diving into some songs that we can play as a group.
“The songs and exercises will be matched to each individual’s ability and preference, with a focus on learning about, and progressing, on the guitar.”
After the class a video will be provided with step-by-step instructions on what was covered so you can practice at home.
Guitar in the Park is open to everybody and you book one class for €12 here. For more information, contact Alastair by emailing alastairmsdouglas@gmail.com.
