A tasty new seafood spot is getting ready to open this summer in Schull

Seafood is always better by the sea.
But imagine digging into the day’s catch while watching the boats bob and the tide roll in and out – that’s the vibe they’re going for at West Cork’s newest restaurant.
Well-known Cork-based chef Ciaran Tedford, who hails from Dooradoyle in Limerick, is putting the finishing touches on his menu for Alaria, the brand new seafood restaurant at the Schull Harbour Hotel.

Opening soon, in a location that literally overlooks the Atlantic at the Blue Haven Collection’s Main Street Schull outpost, Alaria will celebrate hyper-local ingredients and refined, modern cooking inspired by the bounty of West Cork.
The menu (check it out here) features Roaring Bay Oysters with Beach Rose Dressing, Cape Clear Gin and Apple Cured Salmon, and West Cork Scallops in the Shell among the seafood stars.
Here’s a taster of what we can expect:

“From Gubbeen cheese to Skeaghanore duck, his dishes are rooted in the region’s finest produce, enriched by classical technique and bold global flavours.” the Alaria team announced.
Keep an eye on their socials for the opening date.
