Attention, music-mad teenagers.

Are you a budding beat-maker or a future DJ spinning tracks in your bedroom?

Cork DJ and radio presenter Stevie G is bringing his brilliant New School platform to the City Library this weekend.

Stevie is hooking up with the brilliant Rory Gallagher Music Library to run free workshops aimed at empowering young guns (that’s you, legends aged 14-17) through the power of music and the arts.

These aren’t your average yawn-fest workshops, oh no. Stevie G will be diving headfirst into the exciting world of DJ culture and music production. Think scratching, mixing, and creating your own sonic masterpieces.

He’ll kick things off with a seriously interesting whistle-stop tour through the history of hip-hop and dance music before getting down to the nitty-gritty of mixing and remixing.

The workshop begins at 11am until 12.30pm on Saturday, May 24th and you can sign up for a free place here.
