Nervous or curious about cycling at night?

The launch event for Cork Bike Week 2025 could offer an opportunity to experience what it’s like to pedal around town after dark with plenty of company.

On Saturday, May 10th, the Cycle of Lights is inviting Cork cyclists to join a two-hour group cycle around the city, meeting at 11.30pm on the Grand Parade.

They’ll even be supplying free bike lights if you need one.

“Join us for an inspiring journey into the night as we cycle around the cycle lanes of Cork City Center at midnight, all aglow with free lights to open Cork Bike Week.” the organisers announced.

“Please deck your bikes out with bike lights, fairy lights etc. and will have some extra lights to finish turning your bike into a magical glowing steed.”

Free and funded by Cork Transport & Mobility & Cork Sports Partnership as part of Bike Week, you’ll find more on the event and how to take part here.
