Spring Sips: 3 gloriously green drinks to try in Cork right now

By Yay Cork April 14, 2025April 14, 2025

Spring, they say, is all about “new beginnings.”

And after months of beige everything – beige skies, beige jumpers, beige food, we deserve something in a glass that screams “LIFE!” Something gloriously, unapologetically green.

Marvellous matchas that actually taste like they might keep you awake, dreamy juices that don’t make you want to immediately eat a packet of crisps, and zingy cocktails that promise a good time while helping you get your five a day? We’ve been slurping it all this week.

Here are three of our favourite green drinks to order in Cork right now.

Iced Matcha at Myo

Summer has landed on Pope’s Quay. Myo Café just launched a new Strawberry Coconut Ice Matcha involving sweet strawberry purée, creamy coconut milk, smooth matcha and plenty of ice.

“It’s our Summer Delight Drink, and it’s ready to refresh you all season long.” the crew announced on Instagram.

Green Awakening at Proby’s Kitchen

On the other side of town, Proby’s Kitchen near St Finbarr’s Cathedral is squeezing out a zingy seasonal green juice.

“Green Awakening – a vibrant blend of crisp apple, fresh kale, zesty ginger, fragrant coriander, and bright parsley. Packed with nutrients, bursting with flavour, and made with the freshest local ingredients, it’s the perfect way to refresh and reset this spring.” they told us.

Swing by to drink it in-house or grab a takeaway from 9.30am every day.

An apple a day at The Stamp Room

If you feel like you didn’t hit the target on your five-a-day and it’s already 5pm, mosey on over to The Stamp Room, Cork’s newest speakeasy bar on the Grand Parade of a Friday and Saturday evening.

Take a seat at the counter and order the Granny Smith, a gloriously green concoction involving whiskey, tart apple and sweet sugar syrup. It even comes with a garnish of crunchy apple slices.
