Vinyl Vibes: It’s all happening in Plugd for Record Store Day this weekend

Get those tote bags ready.
Plugd Records on Cornmarket Street, Cork City, is set to join the global celebration of Record Store Day this Saturday, April 12th for a day brimming with exclusive releases, local talent, and the unmistakable crackle and warmth of glorious vinyl.
Set your alarms, because the doors swing open at a bright and early 9 am. What better way to kick off your Saturday than with a proper cup of coffee in hand, browsing through Plugd’s carefully curated shelves? You never know what hidden gems or long-sought-after records might be waiting to be discovered.
But the Record Store Day magic doesn’t stop there. Adding an extra layer of Cork flavour to the day, the fantastic éist, our very own volunteer-run internet radio collective, will be setting up shop in-house.
Dedicated to championing creativity, fostering collaboration, and building community engagement through the power of digital radio, éist will be bringing their energy and passion for local music and chat to Plugd all day.

On Sunday morning, an éist general meeting will take place upstairs in plugd from 11am until 1pm.
“This will be a general meeting with reports from each committee, as well as a chance for newbies to introduce themselves and contribute to the conversation after the initial reports.” the team announced.
An ideal opportunity to get involved if you’re new to the scene.
