Travelling musical family Tengger bring their New-Age drone magic to Cork

Ready to bring your teen to their first gig?
Traveling musical family TENGGER are bringing their famous act to Cork, with a teen-friendly date announced in UCC Library on Thursday, June 19th, 2025.
Pan-Asian couple, ITTA (from South Korea) and MARQIDO (from Japan), create their brand of psychedelic New-Age drone magic through the use of voice, Indian harmonium, toy instruments, synths and electronics, alongside their 12 year old son RAAI.
“Travel, as spiritual experience in real environments, and the sound between the space and the audience have been central themes of their works.” say the organisers.
“The family’s yearly pilgrimages inform every aspect of their art.”
Juno Cheetal, Flowers At Night, is the support act on the night. Cheetal is a musician and sound designer working mostly with electronics, vocal layering, strings and piano. Her practice has developed through compositions for theatre, dance, film, and live performance.
The event, presented by UCC Library and Tombstome Productions, begins at 7.30pm. It’s over 16s but younger teens are permitted as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
Refreshments on the night will be provided by My Goodness. Tickets are €13.50 here.
