Catch up with your mum at this Mother’s Day Candle Making workshop

You’re never too old to make some new memories.
And if you’re up for trying something new later this month, you can bring your mum along to a Mother’s Day Candle Making Workshop on Saturday, March 29th.
Run by Saoirse Ethnic Hands on Deck, a local crafting group run by migrant women and asylum seekers in Cork, the class will take place from 3pm to 5pm on the day in Haven Café on Bachelor’s Quay, Cork City.
“Whether you want to spend quality time together or create a handmade gift for someone special (or yourself!), our candle-making workshop is the perfect experience.” the organisers told us.

“Led by our skilled facilitators, this hands-on session will guide you through the process of making your own beautifully scented soy candles.”
Participants will enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with refreshments to enjoy as you craft.
“Come for the candles, stay for the company, and leave with something truly special.” they added.
Tickets are €30 (about the price of a fancy candle) over here and you’ll leave with a cute creation of your own as well as the skills to make your own candles whenever you like.
