Ticket to Ride: Kinsale is hosting the ultimate Beatles bash in January

Beatles fans will ‘come together’ in Cork to kick off 2025.
The first Kinsale Beatles Festival is happening this January in the beautiful coastal town and whether you’re a lifelong fan of the Fab Four or just love a good time, the festival, sponsored by Bulmers, promises to be a magical weekend full of music, nostalgia, and good vibes.
Over the Saint Brigid’s bank holiday weekend, from Friday, January 30th until Sunday, February 2nd, Kinsale will transform into a Beatles wonderland, with live bands, themed events, and some interesting Beatles-inspired activities.
Kicking off the festival, Beatles songs will be performed by Munster String Quartet at St Catherine’s Cultural Centre on Friday, January 31st. The audience will enjoy a pre -how interview with Steven Cockcroft and Jason Carty from the Beatles-obsessed Nothing is Real Podcast.

On Saturday, February 1st you can join Paul Muldoon in conversation with Dave Fanning at The Blue Haven for a fascinating deep dive on his work with Paul McCartney on The Lyrics 1956-Present. Later at 9.30pm, the ultimate Beatles tribute show takes the stage for a night filled with classic hits at The White Lady.
Journalist Jane Hayward will also be in town to tell the intriguing story of Dorinish Island in Clew Bay, which was purchased by John Lennon in 1968, with more events to be announced soon.
