Now you can buy Izz Café’s house coffee in a handy Nespresso machine pod

Stocking up your caffeine store for Christmas?
If you’re a fan of the house blend coffee at Izz Café, now you can enjoy it at home.
The award-winning Palestinian café on George’s Quay, owned and run by Izzeddeen and Eman Akarajeh, has just launched its own Izzpresso pods, premium Arabica espresso pods that are fully compatible with Nespresso machines.
Each box, available online or in the café, is €6,50 for ten pods.
Izz explained that because Nespresso products are on the The Palestinian BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) list, which calls for a boycott of Israeli and international companies that are complicit in violations of Palestinian rights, many of his customers were seeking an alternative product to use in their machines.

“Introducing Izzpresso. Made with our house roasted coffee beans and sealed for freshness.” he announced on Instagram.
“These pods contain nothing but our best coffee. Many of our customers have the pod machines and spoke to us for a more local and ethical solution. Nespresso is on the BDS list. We are glad to provide this delicious alternative.”
