Support local and ‘Jingle and Mingle’ your way around Midleton with a coffee

It’s been a rough week for food lovers in Midleton.
Roastie, one of the town’s beloved restaurants, announced it will close its doors for good on December 15th. Despite a packed house most nights, the restaurant was unable to keep up with the rising costs and pressures that so many local businesses are facing.
It’s a hard hit for the community, but it’s also a stark reminder: now, more than ever, we need to show up for our local eateries, shops, and boutiques.
But all is not lost—there’s still time to show some love to Midleton’s vibrant local scene. Today and tomorrow, from December 6th to 7th, the town transforms into a festive wonderland with A Midleton Christmas.
Whether you’re shopping, enjoying local carolers, or joining a wreath-making workshop at Ina McCarthy’s Flowers, there’s no better time to experience the heart of the town.

On Friday, the town will stay open late (10 am – 8 pm), and Saturday’s shopping will run from 10 am – 6 pm. There will be plenty of festive cheer with choir performances, a magical Santa experience for the kids, and a Christmas trail to explore the twinkling lights and local gems.
So, grab your coat and get out there—support your local businesses, make some memories, and let’s keep Midleton’s festive spirit alive, one sandwich and wreath at a time.
