Cork County Council is inviting the public to enjoy the buggy-friendly Mallow Castle Illuminated Walkway this weekend, with plenty of surprises in store for families along the way.

From 4pm until 7pm this Sunday, December 8th, you can enter through the Mallow Castle Main Gate of Bridewell Lane, Mallow for a free evening of magical festive entertainment.

“Set in the beautiful Mallow Castle as you walk your way along the path you will meet your favourite Christmas characters while experiencing the magic of Christmas lights and decorations, with Christmas music to complete the scene.” the organisers said.

The walk is suitable for wheelchairs and buggies too so it’s a Christmassy day out that everyone can enjoy.

From 4pm-5pm an autism friendly hour will see the music switched off and actors along the trail will only engage if approached or interacted with.

Under 18s must be accompanied by adults but apart from that, it’s a fabulous free event that doubles and a blast of fresh air as darkness falls on Sunday.
