A Haunted Walk around a Cork castle is probably the best way to spend bank holiday Monday

We’ll all be needing some fresh air after the Jazz Weekend.
And if you’re looking to scare yourself silly as you stroll, look no further than Mallow Castle’s free Halloween Haunted Walk on bank holiday Monday, October 28th.
This fright fest promises “spooky thrills and chills” for all ages from 2pm to 5pm, and they’re not kidding.
Imagine wandering through the castle’s haunted laneways and garden, where ghouls and ghosts lurk behind every tree and creepy crawlies scuttle across your path. There’s freaky fog, ghastly spiders and skeletons, pumpkins that glow an eerie orange, and witches and demons that will make your hair stand on end.

But don’t worry, the walk is suitable for wheelchairs and buggies (except for the creepy graveyard tunnel), so even the little ones can join in the fun.
And if you’re on the autism spectrum, there’s an autism-friendly hour from 2pm-3pm where the music will be switched off and the actors will only engage if you approach them.
So gather your courage and put on your spookiest costume, because Mallow Castle is about to become a Halloween haven like no other. Just remember, if you see a ghost, don’t scream.
They might just scream back.
