Pondering the next few years after college?

If you’re wondering whether to stay put or join your mates in Dublin or Oz, the organisers of an upcoming careers fair are hoping to convince you to hang around on  Leeside a bit longer.

The Cork Careers Fair, in partnership with Cork GAA and Cork Chamber, is set to take place on November 14th at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The event, targeted at students in second and third level, will bring together representatives from top Cork-based companies, offering attendees the chance to explore exciting job opportunities and network with industry professionals.

“From cutting-edge renewable energy projects to innovative tech startups and established pharmaceutical and FMCG giants, Cork’s local economy is thriving,” said Annie Fitzgibbon, Director of Member Services, Cork Chamber.

“There is no longer a need to move to bigger cities to get access to a wide and diverse range of job opportunities – we have them here in Cork. The region is a vibrant, globally recognised, place for business, innovation and quality of life.”

Sinéad O’Keeffe, Commercial Director with Cork GAA, added, “Cork GAA are delighted to be part of this event, in collaboration with our partners in Boston Scientific, McCarthy Insurance, PepsiCo and Statkraft. Cork has great potential and has everything from renowned companies to great sporting teams.

“This careers fair is perfect for anyone considering their next steps, whether choosing a college or training course, entering a graduate programme, or simply exploring the options available in the Cork region.”

The Cork Careers Fair is open to attendees from all second and third-level institutions in Cork and the wider surrounding areas. Find out more here.
