Coffee for Palestine raised a whopping €50k for three vital children’s charities

It was an incredible team effort.
Coffee shops all over Ireland rowed in to raise more than €50,000 to help three important charities working to help children in Palestine.
Organised by Eman Alkarajeh from Cafe Izz, Deirdre Breen from Studio Boon, and Clare Condon from Good Day Deli, Coffee for Palestine asked cafés to pledge ten cups of coffee sold on their premises to the fundraiser from September 23rd to 29th, 2024.
The initial aim was to raise €2,500 for three charities as chosen by Eman; Al Tamayuz School in North Gaza, the clean water charity Ele Elna Elak and Children Not Numbers, which provides immediate support and long-term rehabilitation for children affected by conflicts and in poverty.
As donations flooded in, the campaign adjusted its target to €50,000, a figure that has since been surpassed again.
