How about a South African wine tasting in an old Cork church?

Forget the Sunday sermon.
Down in Newmarket they’re swapping hymns for happy hour with a South African wine tasting in a historic Cork church.
The Cultúrlann, Newmarket, a beautifully renovated old Protestant Church, is the venue chosen by wine importers, Boursot Wines for their wine tasting evening on Friday, October 18th, 2024.
Here’s the divine plan:
- 7:30pm: Kick things off with a bubbly champagne reception – because every good sip deserves a fancy intro.
- 8pm – 10pm: Embark on a guided tasting journey through eight never-before-seen South African wines, expertly paired with delectable canapés by IRD Newmarket Outside Catering.
- Meet the Wine Whisperers: John Passmore, a South African wine guru, will lead the tasting, with special guest appearances by none other than 14th generation wine expert, Guy Boursot himself.
“As always, the event promises to be an enjoyable and informative experience, tailored to both seasoned wine connoisseurs in Munster and beyond and to those newer to wine appreciation.” say the organisers.
“Tickets for the event are available at €40 per person, representing excellent value for a premium evening of fine wine and culinary delights in an exclusive and intimate setting. This event is expected to sell out quickly, as tickets are limited, so early booking is advised.”
