Fancy grocers Pop Crowley’s is hosting its first pop-up wine tasting in Macroom

Sounds like the perfect Saturday evening TBH.
Pop Crowley’s Fancy Goods & Grocers in Macroom is hosting its first pop-up foodie event this weekend.
The busy store, opened in July by husband-and-wife team Ballymaloe grad Jack Buckley and Carmel Buckley, is stocked to the hilt with fresh bread and tasty bakes, organic and local fruit and veggies, cheese and meats, excellent coffee and various other fancy goods and provisions.
This Saturday, September 21st at 6.30pm, they’re hosting a Wine and Food Tasting as part of Macroom Food Festival.

“Delighted to be joined by our sommelier cousin Dáire Ó Lúing from Ceann Trá Co. Ciarraí (another of Pop Crowley’s grandsons!) for an evening of low-intervention wines and local food.” the team shared on Instagram.
“Limited spaces available so please call to the shop to reserve your spot soon to avoid disappointment. And if you can’t make this one , don’t worry, we do hope to host many different pop-up events as the months go by.”
Pop Crowley’s has also joined the Coffee for Palestine fundraising drive to raise money for three important charities doing vital work in Gaza.
Organised by Eman Alkarajeh from Cafe Izz, Deirdre Breen from Studio Boon, and Clare Condon from Good Day Deli, Coffee for Palestine is asking cafés to pledge ten cups of coffee sold on their premises to the fundraiser from September 23rd to 29th, 2024.
