“Bring a picnic and join our family event with bubbles and face painting, speakers and musicians. All welcome.” the group, Cork HCWs for Palestine announced on social media.
Cork healthcare workers are taking time out of their busy week to do the face painting at the event themselves so show your support on the day from 1pm to 3pm.
With back-to-school season looming, Cork HCWs for Palestine took the time to highlight that in Gaza, there is no back-to-school this year.
“Over 16,000 children have been killed (this number is considered to be much higher), over 20,000 children missing either under rubble, having been separated from their parents or abducted.” the group highlighted.
“We have seen the targeting of schools, the bombing of schools that were sheltering innocent citizens of Gaza. 391 teachers have been killed, we have seen the systematic targeting of professionals in Gaza.
“All children deserve education, safety, safe shelter, safe drinking water and nutrition.”
