The ‘Queen of Sauvignon Blanc’ is coming to Cork to host a dreamy wine dinner

It’s the perfect treat to round out the summer.
Rare at The Blue Haven is set to welcome New Zealand’s award-winning winemaker Jules Taylor for an exclusive wine and food pairing experience on Thursday, August 29th.
A coup for the Kinsale eatery, Jules is known in New Zealand as the ‘Queen of Sauvignon Blanc’ and was recently awarded New Zealand’s Winemaker of the Year by Gourmet Traveller Wine.
In short, there’s nothing she doesn’t know about choosing a great glass of vino.
Taylor will travel to Ireland from New Zealand especially to curate a wine pairing experience to complement the five-course tasting menu created by the executive chef at Rare at Blue Haven, Meeran Manzoor.

“Guests on the evening can expect specially selected unique wines from Marlborough’s Southern Valleys which perfectly complement Head Chef Meeran Manzoor’s cooking style where the focus is on French techniques influenced by Chef Meeran’s Tamil Nadu heritage, using the very best ingredients from local producers and artisan suppliers,” they told us.
Taylor is a passionate advocate for the Marlborough region which produces some of the region’s most loved and successful wines. She even created a bespoke Blue Haven Sauvignon Blanc for the Blue Haven collection exclusively.

The Jules Taylor/ Rare Kinsale Wine & Food Pairing Experience will take place on August 29th at 7 pm in Rare at Blue Haven in Kinsale and tickets are €125 per person. Call 021 477 2209 or email bookings@bluehavenkinsale.com to reserve your spot.
