A new food tour will show you what else to eat in the home of black pudding

West Cork is bursting with very good food.
But navigating it all in a short amount of time can be tricky unless you have an expert guide.
Step forward Lorna O’Regan, whose new Clonakilty Taste and Tipple Tour offers a unique opportunity to delve into the town’s vibrant food scene, renowned for its iconic Clonakilty Blackpudding and an array of local delicacies available in cafes, restaurants, and markets… if you know where to look.

Participants on the tour engage directly with Clonakilty’s local food artisans and producers, discovering the passion and dedication behind every handcrafted product.
Foodies will also gain expert advice on home cooking, dining out, and creating the perfect picnic from tour guide Lorna O’Regan, who holds a BSc in Nutritional Science and a diploma in Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching.
Each group will enjoy a variety of delicious samples, including savoury treats, homemade baked goods, freshly baked bread, succulent seafood, refreshing juices, and premium West Cork gin and whiskey during eight stops.
“This tour is not just about tasting food; it’s about experiencing the town of Clonakilty through its culinary delights,” says Lorna.
The tour leaves from Spillers Lane, Clonakilty on Wednesdays and you can check out the upcoming dates (€70 per person) here or email lorna@feelgoodhealthandfitness.ie for more details.
