Cork Weather: Warm and humid week ahead with temps ‘in the low, possibly mid 20s’

Summer is making a comeback.
After weeks of cloud, frequent showers and drizzle, Met Éireann predicts a solid few days of decent weather in Cork between now and Wednesday.
While today, Friday, will feel fresher than recent days with highs of 17 to 19 or 20 degrees, it should start to feel warmer tomorrow, with a warm, dry and sunny weekend in store for most.
“Any lingering overnight rain across southeastern areas will quickly clear into the Irish Sea early on Saturday morning with sunny spells and scattered showers soon following.” said a forecaster.
The odd heavy shower will occur later, with highs of 17 to 21 degrees. Any mist will clear early on Sunday to leave a dry day with warm spells of hazy sunshine and highs of 18 to 23 degrees.
Will it last?
Right now it looks like it might. While there’s a little uncertainty for Monday, a good deal of dry weather is expected with warm sunny spells and just light southwest breezes.
Tuesday will be warm, dry and humid with temperatures widely rising to the low 20s. Forecasters say Wednesday is looking warm and humid too with temperatures in the low, possibly mid-20s.
“While there will be a good deal of dry weather with hazy sunshine, some thundershowers could break out.”
