The beautiful new garden at Marymount opens this week and everyone’s invited to see it

It’s in full bloom right now.
Marymount University Hospital and Hospice is celebrating the opening of its beautiful new garden in Curraheen with a special event for the public on July 4th, from 12pm to 3pm.
The event will feature talks by the garden’s design team, including award-winning designers Adam Hunt and Valerie Bond, alongside renowned landscaper Colm Cronin. They’ll discuss the project’s development and the inspiration behind their vision.

Nature enthusiasts will enjoy a talk by Sean Ronayne, who has been on a mission to record the songs of every bird species in Ireland. He’ll share his experiences and insights into the birdlife found around Marymount.
Official speeches will be delivered by Dr. Sarah McCloskey, CEO, and Mr. Peter O’Sullivan, Chairman of the Board of Directors. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held with Cllr Dan Boyle, Lord Mayor of Cork, marking the official opening of the garden.
Kids will be entertained with face-painting, balloon animal making, and delicious ice cream, with live entertainment featuring ethereal harp music and soothing acoustic sets planned for the afternoon.
This is a free event, and everyone is welcome to attend. The EirCode T12 A710 will get you there.
