An authentic Greek food truck is about to open in Cork and the menu is *chef’s kiss*

Hands up: We dream about gyros.
Sadly, authentic Greek food is one cuisine that’s hard to find on Leeside… but all that’s about to change this summer.
The Greek food truck is ready to make its debut at Virgin Media Park for the Becky Hill concert on June 14th, with a menu celebrating the best of Greek cuisine to-go and plans for a brick-and-mortar restaurant already underway.
To get the ball rolling, owners Konstantina Stefanidou, from Greece, and Corkman Ross McCullagh will be serving souvlaki (juicy skewers of marinated meat grilled to perfection, served with warm pita bread and tangy tzatziki sauce) and gyros (tender slices of meat wrapped in fluffy pita bread, accompanied by crisp veggies and drizzled with creamy feta cheese sauce).
You’ll also be able to order a Greek-style soutsoukaki pita, a mouthwatering combination of beef and lamb, seasoned with traditional Greek herbs and spices, served on a pita bread.

Diners will also enjoy healthy (and low-carb) platters featuring tzatziki, crumbled feta cheese, and other Greek sauces, served alongside meats or veggies and fresh Greek salads bursting with Mediterranean flavours.
For the sweet-toothed, authentic Greek desserts like loukoumades, delicious honey-soaked doughnuts will take you back to your Mykonos holidays.
“We have already booked events like the Virgin Media Park music festivals this June in Cork, whilst we are open to bookings for parties, corporate organisations, weddings, music festivals,” Konstantina told Yay Cork.
“A fixed location is part of our future plans, including takeaway.”
In the meantime, you can visit The Greek at all Virgin Media Park gigs this summer.
