This off-grid Airbnb boasts a private lake and 17 acres of unspoilt wilderness

It gets rave reviews from past guests.
A cherry red mobile home just five minutes from Schull and Ballyrisode Beach, Wind in The Willows has become a surprise hit on Airbnb.
The best bit? It’s a steal at around €82 per night for two guests and you can still nab a date for a stay in autumn or winter.
The tranquil and private getaway spot is set on 17 acres of unspoilt wilderness. We’re talkin’ proper off-grid – no wi-fi, no signal, nada. Your mates on Facebook might think you’ve fallen off the edge of the earth, but sure isn’t that the beauty of it?
But what it lacks in internet connectivity, it more than makes up for in rustic charm.
The property even boasts a private lake with stunning views, all completely undisturbed by modern life and urban lighting.

Imagine waking up to the symphony of birdsong instead of the obnoxious chirp of your alarm clock. Picture evenings spent gazing at a sky crammed with a billion glittering stars, unpolluted by the harsh glare of city lights.
Guest Eamonn, who stayed last year, said his getaway at Wind in the Willows was more than memorable: “We picked blackberries each morning at the door for breakfast and really enjoyed the private lake in the evening sun! It really is a piece of West Cork magic down there.
“Our puppy loved the freedom and space to roam. Amazing location,” he added.
Inside there’s a cute living room and a modern kitchen, a bedroom and a full bathroom so while the setting is rustic, you won’t exactly be roughing it.

Ballyrisode Beach is a five-minute drive away and there are numerous walking trails in the area, one of which is located at the foot of the property.
The lively fishing village of Schull is also nearby, with shops, restaurants and pubs aplenty to fill the day if you can tear yourself away.
