It’s a drizzly start to the week BUT there’s much better weather on the way for Cork

It’s a side of drizzle for breakfast this morning.
However, Met Éireann is predicting an improvement in the weather as the week rolls on and with any luck it might actually feel like summer by the June bank holiday weekend.
Patchy rain and mist will clear later today to leave a mix of sunshine and isolated showers. Cloud will increase again in the evening with rain following later. Highest temperatures will range between 14 to 17 degrees.
Tuesday morning will bring a mix of sunshine and scattered showers with highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees.
“Showers will ease early on Tuesday night but scattered outbreaks of rain will spread from the Atlantic later. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in moderate southwest or variable breezes.” said a forecaster.
We can expect “cloudy skies along with scattered falls of rain and drizzle” on Wednesday morning. It will turn brighter into the afternoon with long sunny spells developing with just a few scattered showers. A fine and mostly sunny evening is expected with maximum temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday are shaping up to be mostly dry with sunshine for good measure.
Fingers crossed for the banker.
