This Montessori is having its own election (it’s a tight race between Bluey and Peppa)

They’re asking all the important questions.
A local Montessori school in Bishopstown is gearing up for their own election next week… and they’re even taking the time to grill local candidates at their doorstep.
The Scoil An Spioraid Naoimh Montessori teachers wanted to do something to help the children understand why there were so many election posters hanging up in the community. The children will be voting next week for who they would like to see as the boss of the school.
The candidates? Peppa Pig, a Minion and Bluey.

The kids have been busy learning about what an election is and they’ve put up their own posters in the classroom alongside an election booth.
They even invited European election candidate and Bishopstown local John Mullins to the school this week to answer questions about running in an election.
The key issues? The children asked him how he feels about running for an election, where he lives and what he liked to eat on the campaign.
John Mullins said he was “delighted” to pop in: “My brothers attended this school and my parents live close by so I know the area and the school well. I think it is fantastic to see the children learning about the election and politics and I was delighted to answer their questions.
“It is great to educate kids on the political process at such a young age.”
