Met Éireann pinpoint when the weather will start getting warmer in Cork this week

It’s still pretty chilly out there.
Let’s be honest; Met Éireann’s forecasts have been more “cuppa tea by the fire” than “beers in the beer garden,” lately, but fear not, sunshine seekers because forecasters are predicting a definite shift towards flip-flop weather.
Now, they’re not exactly pinpointing the hour but whispers on the wind suggest things will start warming up by Wednesday.
It will be a cloudy and wet start to the week with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers for the rest of the day today and highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and wet with showers or longer spells of rain but some drier and sunnier weather will develop later in the day in the south with temperatures of 10 to 13C.
Rain for most this morning, sunshine and showers will follow for the afternoon, the #UV index will be moderate in any sunshine.

By Wednesday, we can expect sunshine and scattered showers and top temperatures generally ranging 13 to 15 degrees – only a touch warmer but we’ll take it.
Thursday is looking cloudy but definitely a little bit warmer again, with highest temperatures ranging from 11 to 16 degrees.
“It’ll become warmer over the weekend, and while there’s a good lot of uncertainty, it looks like there should be a good of dry weather overall with sunshine, but with the possibility of heavy showers at times too.” said a forecaster.
“Temperatures are likely to reach between 15 and 19 or 20 degrees in mostly light winds.”
