Met Éireann is teasing some ‘much needed drier weather’ in Cork by next week

We’re over the spring showers, quite frankly.
And if you, too are ready to hang up your raincoat for the last time this season, Met Éireann has some positive news on that front.
“There are indications that there’ll be some much-needed drier weather during next week, with high pressure expected to play a more dominant role.” said the national forecaster.
In the meantime, it’s a thoroughly soggy affair with cloud and mist today as well as scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle. The rain and drizzle will be most persistent early this morning and again this evening, and will be heavy at times.
It will stay mild with highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees with a very mild night ahead with temperatures not falling below 10 to 12 degrees.

Tomorrow, Thursday, is looking slightly better and will be cloudy but mainly dry for a time, apart from a few spots of drizzle.
“However, scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will move into the southwest through the morning and will gradually become more widespread through the afternoon and evening.” said a forecaster.
“There’ll be hill and coastal mist and fog too, which will persist throughout the day in southern parts. A mild day with highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees, in a mostly moderate south to southwesterly wind.”
