The Paddy’s Day weather is looking pretty good for Cork (and temps could hit 15C)

You might not need the extra geansaí.
Met Éireann has released its weather predictions for Saint Patrick’s Day and it’s looking pretty good so far.
If you’re heading into town then it’s wise to bring a brolly: Sunday, March 17th will be damp locally to begin with, however, there’s a lot of dry weather expected, albeit “with sunny spells and scattered showers, some heavy ones possible.”
It’ll be a mild and humid spring day with highs of 12 to 14 or even 15 degrees in no more than moderate southwest breezes.
In the meantime, rain and drizzle will clear to the southeast this morning and the rest of the day will be mostly dry and bright with long sunny spells (around 12C) developing.
Friday night will be cold, calm and clear for much of the night with some frost and a bit of drizzle by morning.
Saturday will be wet with overnight rain extending nationwide during the morning; persisting for much of the day.
