Um, don’t freak out but there’s a sizeable SNAKE slithering around near Kent Station

Saint Patrick missed one.
Just days before the country kicks off celebrations in honour of our patron saint, credited with banishing snakes from the island of Ireland, it looks like he might not have finished the job.
On this morning’s Opinion Line, 96FM’s PJ Coogan spoke to Colm Twohig who found a snake at Kent Station in Cork yesterday.
Later on, brave Colm went back to rescue the snake and bring it to Fota Wildlife Park… but the snake had disappeared.

Experts have rowed in on social media to suggest the reptile is a red rat snake or a corn snake, both of which are powerful, but thankfully nonvenomous snakes.
As it stands, nobody knows where it slithered off too so keep an eye on your luggage if you’re taking the train this weekend.
