Cork Weather: Unsettled and rainy to start (but it’s about to get a lot milder)

It’s a bit grey out there.
But while Met Éireann is forecasting an unsettled week to come, there is some good news in the mix if you’re tired of hauling out your winter coat every morning.
Firstly there’s a Status Yellow – Rain warning in place for Cork and Kerry with spells of rain on Monday and Tuesday coupled with high tides and onshore winds likely to cause wave overtopping and localised flooding from 3pm today until 3pm on Tuesday.
The national forecaster says it’s set to get a lot milder by the middle of the week, when temperatures will jump from 10C or 12C to a much warmer 14C across the country.
