Met Éireann forecasts drizzle and ‘unusually high tides’ for Cork this weekend

TGI Friday amirite?
The weekend has finally arrived, but Met Éireann is forecasting a soggy few days ahead, with ‘unusually high tides’ likely to cause flooding in Cork and Kerry.
It will be mostly dry today with a mix of cloud and sunny spells, but during the evening, thicker cloud and patchy drizzle will develop.
“Highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees in moderate to fresh easterly winds, strong on coasts. There will be unusually high tides with the possibility of coastal flooding in Cork and Kerry.” said the national forecaster.
Tonight will be cloudy with some light rain or drizzle at times and lowest temperatures of 3 to 5 degrees.
“Unusually high tides will bring the possibility of coastal flooding for all coasts.”
Oh and there’s another shout-out for the tides on Saturday:
“A fair amount of cloud expected tomorrow along with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures again of 8 to 10 degrees in moderate to fresh east to northeast winds. Unusually high tides will bring the possibility of coastal flooding for all coasts.”
We can expect further outbreaks of rain on Sunday initially before it turns drier for a time early next week. The unusually high tides will continue out through Tuesday with the possibility of coastal flooding for all coasts.
