5 Cork bars and restaurants where you can enjoy bargain dinners and drinks this week

By Katie Mythen-Lynch February 12, 2024February 8, 2024

We all appreciate a good deal.

And with many of Cork’s hard-working restaurant folk struggling to stay afloat lately, now is a good time to head out and support your favourite spots, taking a night off dinner duties while you’re at it.

If funds are tight, there are plenty of bargains to be had once you know where to look. Here’s where you’ll find some top-notch lunch, dinner, and drinks deals this week:

BURGERS AND BEERS AT NO.76

Looking for a naughty little treat in a luxurious city bar on a rainy midweek evening? Head for No. 76 on the South Mall and enjoy a Chicken Ranch Burger or Homemade 8oz Irish Hereford Thyme & Garlic Beef Burger, served with fries and a pint of lager for a bargain €20.

This deal is available between 5pm and 8.30pm, Sunday to Thursday.

MONDAY COCKTAILS AT SOBER LANE

Got stuck working the weekend shift? The only benefit is having a few days off early in the week; head for Sober Lane on Sullivan’s Quay on Mondays where all cocktails are just €8. Cheers to making Mondays magnificent.

SHARING BOARDS AT THE OLD TOWN WHISKEY BAR

Here’s a cheap date for a pair of hungry foodies; the newest addition to the list of fan favourite sharing boards at The Old Town Whiskey Bar on Cornmarket Street is The Bodega Burger Board. Choose any two burgers, loaded fries, and their famous buffalo wings for €30. Vegan, veggie, and gluten-free options are available.
