Up on Barrack Street, Alchemy just launched a new menu with some killer sambos

Great sandwiches deserve great names.
And up at Alchemy on Barrack Street, they’ve launched a brand new menu with a selection of creative new titles for their lunchtime favourites.
Take, for instance, the Barrack Street Cockfighter on the ‘Sangers for the Langers’ list; chicken, guacamole, tomato, rocket, and cheddar or the Alright Pig; pulled pork, chipotle BBQ sauce, apple slaw, and smoked cheese.
There’s also a Balling With the Best; a vegan meatball sub with pulled falafel in tomato sauce, vegan mozzarella, and pickled onion, or the I Ham Legend; pulled ham hock, relish, mature cheddar and pickled red onion, all served with chips for €12.50 (or €8.50 with no chips).

In the ‘notions’ section of the new menu, you’ll find a Protein Pusher involving an 8oz rib-eye steak, two fried eggs, and a choice of broccoli or chips (€16.50) and a Holy Fish – a bagel topped with smoked salmon, guac, cream cheese and chives and gherkins (€13.50).
The famous Alchemy Mick-Muffin is still going (miles better than a Maccy-D’s version) and if you like to keep things simple, choose the Bate Out of It – scrambled eggs on a croissant.
Alchemy is open for 3fe Coffee and goodies weekdays 8am-6pm and weekends from 9.30am-6pm.
