Forecasters have warned it will be “cold with icy conditions” again today after black ice made roads and footpaths treacherous in parts of Cork including Ballincollig and Blarney on Monday.
It was very cold overnight with a widespread sharp frost, icy patches, and sleet or snow in places, as temperatures dipped as low as -4.
“On Tuesday morning, frost, ice, and any fog patches will gradually clear.” said a forecaster.
