Head west this weekend for a pop-up makers fair in a Michelin-starred restaurant

These would make great Christmas gifts.
Michelin-starred Chestnut is showcasing some of the local artists involved in making its space so special with a pop-up fair this Sunday, December 10th.
Swapping food for craft for the day, the Ballydehob gem is opening its space from 11am to 4pm, showcasing the talents of local artists who contribute to the restaurant’s distinctive ambience through their pottery, textiles, and artwork.
While the restaurant’s kitchen takes a brief hiatus during the event, the space will be transformed into an art haven, featuring the remarkable creations of three exceptionally talented local artists.
“We are so often asked about the beautiful art that we have here in Restaurant Chestnut, from the pottery that our food is presented in, to the textiles that our bread is displayed on, to the watercolour painting which features on our postcards,” the restaurant crew said on Instagram.
“This December we are opening our doors to showcase three local, incredibly talented artists who all contribute to the Restaurant: Selina, Anne and Anke.”
Anke Barrett, the mastermind behind the breathtaking pottery at Chestnut, crafts her simple yet elegant earth objects daily from her cosy home studio in Ballydehob. Each piece reflects a commitment to craftsmanship that adds a touch of sophistication to the dining experience.

Anne Kenefick Krawczyk, an accomplished watercolour artist, graces the restaurant with her visually captivating artwork that adorns the walls. Meanwhile, the in-house mini brown soda bread, a culinary delight, sits atop beautifully stitched linen squares created by Selina, a valued member of team Chestnut.
